About

Heidi is an artist and designer whose practice is centred on the places and people who inspire her and feed her imagination. After a career in communications and as a translator/interpreter, Heidi has recently completed a BA in Art and Design.

Heidi’s work is suggestive of real and imagined narratives that evoke character and location. Collage and relief printing are two of her preferred techniques, enabling her to interweave colour, texture and layering into her work, the palettes and cultural references absorbed during her travels serving as an important influence.

Heidi's graduation project was Small Histories, a reflection on the power of a small but symbolic everyday object - the humble button - to trigger memories and emotions. Before that, she completed a visual and written memoir, Letters from Venice, based on her life as an expat in Italy.
